3rd June 2011. A public rally has been arranged to coincide with Unions taking Industrial Action against the cuts. The action is planned to take place on 30th June 2011 and a rally will be held between 12 & 1pm in Preston Town Centre on the Flag Market. Please come along and show your support.

| 7th March 2011. Bosses at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston have warned staff to expect funding cuts of up to 90% from central government within the next 3 years. Budget reductions to teaching budgets are likely to result in more redundancies (following 88 last year).
